Item Description
2-1/8". Superb color and graphic design dated for Sept. 1-5 celebration hosted in Long Beach, Calif. Primary text letters are formed by sea snakes with faces. Scallop shell design encompasses mermaid in harbor waters with sailboats in bkg. A .25" fairly deep hairline scratch shows between letter "N" and "B." Similar 1/16" between "NG." Top edge of shell has 3/8" long pale tan mark. All else is glossy and Exc. with perfect centering. Small spots & surface scratches on Bastian paper. Overall VF example of one of the most stunning buttons ever issued. Scarce.
