Item Description
18" long with 19" wingspan tin litho and plastic. By Tomy, Japan 1960s. Large and impressive plane with interesting features and design. Cockpit is opened manually and by operating levers in front of the small plastic pilots the following functions occur: toy moves forward, propellers turn and tiny stewardess goes up and down the aisle in a cabin revealed by a clear plastic cover, turns around and repeats the motion. This can be a bit balky at times and is remedied by lifting the plastic cover and giving the stewardess a small tap. While all this is going on, red and green lights on tips of wings blink. Has "American Airlines" printed portholes and small eagle "American Airlines" logo. Plane has a few pinpoint paint nicks. A few tiny scratches on clear plastic covers of cockpit and passenger area, however plane overall VF.
