Auction #187 - Part II Item numbers 927 through 2489 in auction 187. |
Same 16" tall doll with composition shoes as item #1634 although the elaborately designed cowboy version. 1930s. Has die-cut Mickey string tag although this is worn with creases, VG. Missing rubber tail, string whiskers are sewn-in replacements but look original. Complete outfit includes starched felt hat, suede/wool chaps with metal studs, neckerchief, accessories are rope lasso and cast metal guns. Moderate scattered trace of aging, white face has all-over evenly tanned along with few small stain spots. Hands have some moisture spots. Scattered trace of loss to the wool covering on chaps, mostly concentrated to 1.5x2.5" area at lower left corner which curls around the figure's leg so not visible when viewed straight on. Composition shoes also have aging but exhibit no crazing as is typical. Overall still displays Fine. From the Gary Selmonsky Collection. (L - $2000 to $5000)
