Item Description
Lot of two in similar theme but overall quite different. Both are about 2.5x5.5x5.25" tall. 1950s. First in our photo is English and depicts elephant atop stool reading "Jumbo Savings Bank." Second bank is by Chein and features a more realistic looking circus elephant atop stool which simply reads "Bank." Both designed w/lever on back that when pulled causes the separate trunk to move up and the coin that is to be placed in the trunk rolls down a slot and into the body. Both are complete w/traps on undersides. Both have minute scattered paint nicks but each remains glossy and Exc.
