Joel J. Cohen is the owner of Cohen Books and Collectibles, a Disney service for more than 35 years, buying and selling Disneyana. Also a guest lecturer, Mr. Cohen is a member of the International Society of Appraisers. He has accumulated one of the largest collections of Walt Disney books and papers outside of the Walt Disney archives. Joel's collection has been on loan to the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum in New York and the International Museum of Cartoon Art. He has also shared his collection with special events associated with Disney anniversary celebrations both in holiday displays inside malls and prominent galleries all over the United States.
Mr. Cohen has been a guest speaker at universities, antique shows, appraisal seminars and on television. His collection was featured in both "The Inside Collector" and Collector's Showcase Magazine's, special Disneyana Issue.
Commenting on his collection, Mr. Cohen said "I have enjoyed my collection for more than 35 years, met many wonderful people who collect, buy, sell, draw, and work for the Disney Company. Now it is the time to "let go" and provide others with the same enjoyment I have had with these wonderful Disney Books and Collectibles."
