17.25x19.25" frame w/Plexiglas over archival mat reveals 9.75x11.75" mixed media image titled "Jack Davis - 'Family Tree'" on engraved brass title plate on mat underneath art. Publication this art was done for is unknown, but c. 1980s. Art shows family consisting of mother, father, son and daughter on left w/grandparents and cat and dog on right looking up at tree that has seven ancestors perched on tree branches. These include - Viking, Scottish Bagpiper, Pilgrim, Colonial, Frontiersman (w/coonskin cap), Union Civil War soldier and World War I doughboy soldier. Art has been signed in ink by Davis and comes w/4x6" color photo of the artist in his studio holding this original. Artboard is lightly aged, but image area remains bright and Exc. Framed and ready for display.
