Item Description
27x41" original release one-sheet for 1948 Columbia serial that starred Kirk Alyn as Superman. For Chapter 5, "A Job For Superman." Poster features choice artwork plus inset film scene, featuring Superman tossing thug. Originally folded, poster has had some professional restoration along fold lines and at fold crease intersections. Aside from fold crease intersection on Superman's cheek and small spot of his "S" symbol, image of Superman has had very little done to it. Margins have also had some scattered restoration (mainly at fold lines), but these all blend very well and are noticeable only upon close inspection. As linen-mounted, poster now displays VF overall. Franco Toscanini Collection.
