Item Description
The 11 buttons in this set are litho tin and each is 1-3/8". Ten feature a player with his name and club name along with a title button "Member Hawthorne-Mellody Club Of Champs." Red Grange was the Executive Director of this club and they also issued a membership certificate, all in 1952. It took 20¢ and three tabs from milk cartons to acquire the set. A beanie was also offered. Dente has .25" hairline, Stewart has pair of 1/8" hairlines and Lollar has spot at lower left where cream background paint did not print although the text did. Also tiny 1/8" mark on forehead of Zarrila. The rest are NM displaying Mint. Buttons come with a single issue 1-5/8" litho reading "Chicago White Sox/American League 1959 Champs/The Fair" with spring pin holding a pair of vinyl white socks.
