Pair of illustrated chipboard display boxes each contain complete amount of 12 novelty candles, each standing between 2.5" to 4" tall. Gurley Novelty Company, 1950s. Halloween display box contains five different candle designs - jack-o-lantern pumpkin w/black cat within (3), jack-o-lantern scarecrow (4), ghost w/jack-o-lantern (1), black cat (2) and witch w/black cat (2). All but jack-o-lantern pumpkin w/black cat have original paper labels on undersides. Candles have aged slightly and black cat candles have become slightly misshapen. VF-Exc. Box shows moderate wear w/one corner split and .5" tears at lid hinges. VG. Thanksgiving display box contains three different candle designs - turkey (4), Pilgrim Man (4) and Pilgrim Woman (4). Turkeys each have original paper label on undersides. Two Pilgrim woman candles have some more moderate aging, but rest are VF-Exc. Box's die-cut display lid has been punched but o/w box is VF.
