Item Description
11.5x13.25x1.75" thick hardcover w/original dustjacket and 516 pages. Written by Paul D. Grushkin and published by Abbeville Press, ©1987. This is an extremely limited presentation copy w/special bookplate reading "The Art Of Rock - A Special Limited Presentation Edition From Abbeville Press." Leather hardcover w/psychedelic multi-color metallic ink title on cover (regular editions were clothbound and all black). Inside front has been signed "To Mark Arminski - Gary Grimshaw - January 12, 1988" in black ink and again by Wes Wilson in silver paint pen, adding "All The Best" by bookplate. Arminski himself has boldly signed below bookplate in black felt tip pen. Book is loaded w/great images and photos telling the history of concert posters from the days of Elvis up through the Punk movement. Page 74 has been signed again in silver paint pen by Wilson, who signs on his photo image. Page 77 features bw photo image of Stanley Mouse, who has added a great full body mouse sketch beside his image, which he has also signed in black ink. Wes Wilson has signed twice more on page 323 on two different photo images of him w/other artists. DJ shows some lt. wear, mainly in the form of some lt. scuffs but is VF overall. Book itself is Exc. This book is likely in most music fan's libraries already, but not a copy like this. The definitive concert poster book and a unique copy as signed. From the Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
