Item Description
The Saturn Award is an annual award presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honor the top works mainly in sci-fi, fantasy, and horror in film, TV, and home video. The awards were devised by Dr. Donald A. Reed in 1972, who felt that films within the genres of sci-fi and fantasy were not given the appreciation they deserved. Honorees have included Vincent Price, Rod Serling, Lon Chaney Jr., Ray Bradbury, Burgess Meredith, Robert Bloch and others. Offered here is 1" tall figural gold luster metal pin representation of the actual award and unused 2x3.5" "Science Fiction Film Awards" member card w/inked "6/83" expiration date. "Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi" won best picture at the awards that year. Card has lt. aging but pair are Exc. overall and both come in original case as issued. First we've offered.
