Item Description
7/8" reading "Mickey Mouse Spingle-Bell-Chicko-K." Reverse has Bastian Bros. makers stamp. The Mickey Mouse Magazine, produced in 1933, was a special project of Kay Kamen that he felt would promote Mickey movies, clubs and endorsed products. The special password was "Spingle Bell-Chicko" and was used throughout the magazine but when something special happened such as a good deed or the appearance of a new product, the letter "K" was added to the end of the phrase to signify it. The use of the password was promoted through distribution of Mickey Mouse Magazine and this pin-back as free giveaways at various stores and theaters. Rare as the promotion lasted only two months in January and February 1933. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Disney section #551.  Comes with Hake's COA.  High gloss and NM displaying Mint.
