Item Description
24.25x28" thin cardboard poster for July 24, 1963 professional wrestling exhibition at the Civic Center, Baltimore, MD. Poster's top attraction is the World Championship match between George Steele (prior to his George "The Animal" Steele days in the 1980s) against Bruno Sammartino. Full body photo image of Sammartino wearing championship belt is at center. Second-billed match lists Bull Ramos vs. Kentucky Butcher (w/photo of Ramos) and third-billed match lists tag team match w/The Great Tanaka and Gorilla Monsoon (WWF's beloved color commentator) against Victor Rivera and Earl "Mr. Universe" Maynard (w/photos of both Monsoon and Maynard). Poster has .25x1" hole at center and .25" hole at bottom left. Scattered handling wear w/staple holes at margins. VG overall, but still displays nicely. Very limited print run and few of these posters survived being posted around town.
