Original cardboard shipping box is unmarked w/exception of small sticker label w/"104/1000" edition number. Box contains 10.5x13.25" cloth-covered case which holds limited edition leather-bound book published by Russ Cochran Publishing in 2008. A regular edition of this book was published by Gemstone Publishing at the same time, but this example is from the much rarer edition of 1,000 copies that were each individually signed and numbered by Hopalong Cassidy's widow - Grace Bradley Boyd (1913-2010). In addition to being bound in high quality leather, book was foil-stamped w/three different colored dies and the pattern embossed on the leather duplicates the pattern on the actual holsters worn by William Boyd in his portrayal of Hopalong Cassidy. Page edges are silver gilded, and the spine contains five "hubs" and silver embossing. The back cover features an embossed design copied from Hopalong's original holsters and features a real sterling silver heart embedded into the back cover; this heart is an exact replica of the silver hearts on the original holsters. Case cover features a wonderful bw photo of Hopalong Cassidy and case/book remain sealed in original shrink-wrap, which has sticker label w/"104/1000" edition number (matching label on shipping box).
