Item Description
Pair of archival mat boards have 4.5x15-1/8” openings. First mat board holds three consecutive strips for Oct. 14-16. Storyline has Brenda and Larry watching steel workers on high rise. One almost falls and Brenda wonders if it’s because of buying Kate’s brownies. Second mat holds two consecutive dailies for Nov. 15-16. Story continues from first sequence w/Kate being arrested for selling poisoned cookies and Brenda visiting Larry in hospital. Brenda is in 13 of 15 total panels, including some nice close-ups. All strips are signed in ink by artist-creator, complete w/Chicago Tribune copyright stickers. One word balloon has paste-up, otherwise all are clean and Exc. Ready to frame. Nice examples.
