Item Description
Lot of six, including four 4x13-3/8" daily strips and two 11.75x22.5" Sunday strips from 1983-1984, all w/original pen and ink art by Fred Fredericks (for artist bio, see The Phantom painting item #1831). Each has KFS copyright strip paste-over and each has been signed in black ink by Fredericks. Daily strips are all from 1984 and each features three panels, Mandrake is featured in 10 of them, wearing his top hat in four panels and disappearing in another. Exc. Sunday pages are from Oct. 23, 1983 and Jan. 15, 1984. Both feature Mandrake in space, first strip showcases rat-like humanoid aliens while second has black hole. 1984 strip has color overlay sheet which shows wear and is VG. Art is Exc.
