Item Description
4" tall painted composition figure w/jointed arms that served as the topper to a cardboard base candy container and has now been attached atop a wooden base for display purposes. c. early 1900s. Wonderful depiction of Alphonse and Gaston's portly friend Leon looking a bit puzzled and worried. Figure has some scattered minor aging and two tiny flakes off top edge of top hat, one w/black color touch-up. Leon's pink jacket has some fading. Fine. One of the few items produced for this obscure character.
