Item Description
Professionally framed and triple matted art for March 10 has 4x13.75” India ink image area w/Garfield in all three panels. Garfield is thinking about writing a book. He looks at himself in mirror and says “I May Have An Entire Library” as he holds his tummy. First panel has fiber tip pen artist-creator “Jim Davis” signature and date. Panel two has applied United Features Syndicate copyright sticker. Applied zip-a-tone dot pattern shading is lightly but evenly tanned, signature is faded, otherwise Exc. Created in 1978, Garfield is one of the most popular comic strips in history. Creator Davis won an Emmy for “Garfield’s Halloween Adventure” in 1985-86. The year this art was drawn Garfield was voted Best Strip from the National Cartoonists Society, going on to win a Reuben in 1989. The strip runs in some 2500+ newspapers w/readership over 260 million. A prime example, ready for display.
