Item Description
Original 6.5x10.5" thin metal printing plate for first page of "The Joker" #4, published by DC Comics Dec., 1975. Plate features full panel splash page of The Joker standing atop bridge in Star City (home of DC's Green Arrow) about to throw a tied-up woman to her death. This is similar to image used for cover to this comic as seen in included reading copy. Art for this issue was done by noted 1970s DC artist José Luis García-López. Tiny Green Arrow portrait image at mid/lower right margin as Green Arrow co-starred this issue. "The Joker" title logo at bottom. Plate is reversed for printing purposes and shows wear from use, w/some ink staining to raised portions. Fine/VF. A fun novelty piece to frame w/the comic and a must for Joker fans.
