Item Description
Complete kit consisting of five pieces from 1948 and all are the final versions made for this club. Env. is the only version of the four produced that actually pictures the badge along w/the club name at top left. Lt. handling wear, VF. The 1.5" tall metal badge is the second version and has small style lettering (see large letter variant #2421). While the difference in the letters is subtle, when comparing them side by side, it is clearly evident. Bar pin on reverse is version that runs vertically). Exc. w/nice luster. The club letter has the briefest text of the four produced. Exc. The 8.5x11" certificate is one of five different versions produced, this is the only one to feature Black Canary as part of the DC characters shown. Has typed/penciled info on appropriate lines as intended (matches the name on the env.). VF. The cardboard decoder is designed as a folder rather than a wheel as in earlier kits. Reverse includes code chart and has been signed in pencil on appropriate lines. However, never folded along scored line as intended. These three pieces have a few minor impression marks where they lay against the badge but remain clean and VF/Exc. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
