Item Description
5x7" glossy photo on cardboard mount. Has photographers mark at lower left "Banks" along w/1928 date. Wonderful photo of 11 players in uniforms reading "A. Sims All Stars." Baseball bats and ball lay in front of them. Behind them is Sims storefront with text on the windows including "Soda/Ice Cream/Altering & Dyeing." Also written across two windows is the box score of a MLB game between the NY Yankees and St. Louis Browns. Comes with a typed list of the players and identifies the team as being from St. Louis Missouri. Players are: Paul Watts, Mose Hale, Johnny Burton, James Troupe, Butts Thompson, H.D. Watts, Charles Watts, Brother Dodd, Louis Thompson, Gene Pate and Eddie Watts. The man in street clothes is unidentified. Obvious wear/aging to the mount. Photo has some wear/aging but remains glossy w/strong image and is VG. Great looking team photo. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake’s COA.
