Item Description
8.5" tall box is missing top and bottom flaps but is o/w complete and assembled. ©1948 Superman Inc. Front of box has ad for Pep pins (see item #2656) including images for Superman, Little Orphan Annie and Moon Mullins. One side panel has another ad listing 18 Pep pins and shows examples of Daddy Warbucks and Chester Gump w/beanie cap. Back panel features 8-panel "Superman" comic strip from a numbered series of at least 12. This is #4, "Superman And The Menace Of The Man-Made Lightning" and features Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. Back panel also mentions the Mutual Network Superman radio program. Box is lightly aged all over. While missing top and bottom, box still displays nicely as assembled. Fine. Scarce.
