Item Description
9x17.5" cardboard card holds 15.25" long hand-made body w/factory-made production grip/scope and hand-painted 1.5x4" label w/great "Batman Water Blaster" design/text. 1960s. Card is all hand-painted by Marx factory artist and has "Batman" and "Water Blaster" name labels attached as well as label showing Batman using gun and Batman portrait label attached. Card reads "Shoots A Blast 20 Ft. - Deadly Accurate!" under name. Gun design was to feature an extendable stock. Stock and barrel are secured to card w/original rubber bands. Gun shows scattered lt. wear/dust soiling and is VF. Card shows obvious wear/aging w/heavy warp by main body of gun and label showing Batman using gun has started to peel but remains attached. VG. This item was never produced for the market and this prototype is a unique, one-of-a-kind item. From the John Bowers Collection.
