Item Description
14-3/8x20.5” thin art board has 12.5x19” India ink image area w/seven panels for Feb.11. Smokey and the Chief are in the Foo car planning to go ice skating. They find a pond where skating is not allowed and get on the ice. A policeman shows up, and they hide under a barrel only to find out it covers a hole in the ice. Logo is hand drawn and signed by cartoonist-creator “Bill Holman”, last partial “Foomous People” panel honors “Denton A. Fender”. Bottom right margin is signed “To My Good Fooriend, Fire-ever Bill Holman Dec, 40th 1776”. Complete w/News Syndicate copyright sticker. Lt. dust soil, bottom margin has a few small tears. First panel has “O.K.” text in ink. Overall Fine/VF. Well drawn and funny w/numerous sight gags.
