Item Description
7" tall tin litho with six long skinny wire legs covered by vinyl. 1950s by Hishimo, Japan. Toy is incredibly unusual looking with exposed veins covering its entire head. Toy has built-in key and works. Walks around in a creeping fashion. Top center area of head has tiny scattered pinpoint dots of paint wear with minute traces of surface oxidation. Rest of head has some scattered tiny traces of paint wear mostly in the form of small nicks around outer rim edge. Appearance remains bright and glossy overall. Fine. While many toys were produced for robots and spacemen, few pieces were made of martians. Less then ten examples are known of this toy.
