Item Description
Dated Jan. 6, 1985. 3.5x5-3/8” government issue postcard written in ink has Crumb’s return address on front and Kimball’s home address. The artist thanks Kimball “A lot For The Milt Gross Book! I Love That Guy’s Work”. He talks of going to see “Pinocchio” at the movies, saying “You Can Be Proud…I Think This Feature Is The Greatest Accomplishment Of The Disney Studio, Ever, All In All…The Backgrounds Are So Beautiful…There Was A Tear In My Eye More Than Once”. Last paragraph mentions receiving John Gibbons' Christmas card. Signed “R. Crumb”. Text side has a few minor ink cancellation marks, otherwise Exc. Wonderful personal insight into the artist's feelings and his friendship w/the noted Disney animator who created Jiminy Cricket.
