Item Description
This lot consists of hinged box 2.25”x3.75”x.75” deep. Lid inside has the name of a Milwaukee jeweler. Small wear and a small corner split but Fine. Next is a .75” lapel stud on original card which has a couple of creases. Brass stud shows boxers with surrounding text “Chicago Tribune AA/Golden Gloves Tournament.” Reverse has post and threaded cap. Primary piece in this lot is a ribbon badge with the bar designating “Official.” Yellow ribbon and loop suspends a figural brass boxing glove with a scene of a boxer at its center. Front text is “New York vs. Chicago/Chicago Tribune.” Reverse text is “Tenth/Annual Inter-City/Golden Gloves/Tournament/Chicago/Mar. 24, 1937.” Badge and stud are NM displaying Mint.
