Item Description
12 of these buttons are 1.25" while one is 1.5". This group was founded in 1886 although the first button in row two puts the date at 1863. These buttons are from the time period of 1938-1953 when the religious group was headed by Rev. D.V. Jemison. On many of the buttons this name appears as well as T. Theo Loveland as Secretary on all 13 pieces. Each button also includes the words "Home Mission Board." Several from the 1940s include references to World War II. In row two, second button has phrase "Keep Home Fires Burning" with faded color. In row three, second button has stain on left side and third button has stain on upper edges. In row four, third button has some browning at top and bottom. Other pieces not mentioned are glossy and Exc. displaying Mint. A rare group.
