Item Description
28x38.5" limited edition litho combines two photographs taken by Bill Graham and Baron Wolman, who was the chief photographer for "Rolling Stone" magazine, covering all the music festivals in 1969. He was sitting on stage w/Graham when they both decided to photograph each other. The two photos were combined (Wolman being removed), the rest of the band was taken out and the psychedelic colors of the crowd and stage were added to the bw photograph. Santana felt it was important to create the image in two formats - a poster and this limited edition litho-serigraph w/a print run of just 300 (this is numbered 200/300). He signed the litho-serigraph, as did Wolman. Graham's signature was silk-screened on the art. c. 1994, the 25th anniversary of Woodstock. The signatures have some fading, Wolman's signature is still distinct while Santana's is a bit light and blends somewhat w/the bkg. though it can still be made out. Serigraph is o/w Exc. and would look great framed, given its iconic image and vibrant colors. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
