Item Description
c. 1900. Printed by Eastern Advertising, Pawtucket R.I. 10.75x13-7/8” overall. Great die-cut center image of man and woman on horseback leaping over fence. Mounted on board which has printed text promoting laundry. Top has humorous text w/woman asking man “Say! Who Was That Gentleman Talking With The Lady We Just Passed?”. He replies “Why! Don’t You Know! That Was Joe Toof. Our Laundryman Proprietor Of The Concord Steam Laundry”. Bottom text has laundry name. Top and bottom have die-cut holes for display. Corners have been neatly rounded, not as issued. Edges of scene have a few tiny missing flakes, mount has some aging and moisture marks. Still Fine appearance overall.
