18.75x24.25" reading "Support The Chicago Political Defendants." White paper poster depicting blue silhouette of peace dove behind black barbed wire strands. Inscription is in matching blue. On trial for the anti-war riots during 1968 Democratic National Convention were Tom Hayden, Bobby Seale, Dave Dellinger, Rennie Davis, Abbie Hoffman, John Froines, Lee Weiner and Jerry Rubin. Seale's case was severed from the others. Five of the remaining Chicago Seven were found guilty Feb. 18, 1970 and campuses across the country burst into riots. Poster has no publication markings. Pair of 4" hairline creases on bottom margin and a few small handling creases to side margins. .25" tear at top center. Trace of minor age tone on extreme outer edges. A rare poster, one from a total of five found in the Marshall Levin Collection. Displays clean and Exc. From the Marshall Levin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
