Item Description
3.75x6-3/8" porcelain over steel door push. Luhrman & Wilbern. c. 1905. Nice graphic of polar bear at top center. Push has obvious and noticeable wear including chips to porcelain at edges, color rubs and scattered heavy oxidation. Just Good, but still very displayable. A highly sought after door push. Comes w/3-5/8x6-3/8" envelope w/Sept. 1, 1905 postmark. Envelope has "Polar Chewing & Smoking Tobacco" logo/return address. Envelope has been opened unevenly at right and is Fine. Included 8.5x11" mimeographed typed letter on "Luhrman & Wilbern Tobacco Company" letterhead is dated Aug. 29, 1905 and has same Polar logo at upper left. Letter concerns man letting cigar company know that he has resigned his position w/Luhrman & Wilbern. Folded as mailed, letter is Fine.
