Item Description
9x5" tall. Paper label on base missing 1" piece on left side. Complete label read "I Got My Jap!", now only reads "Got My Jap!" Soldier holds rifle in one hand and small stereotypical Tojo-faced Japanese character in other. Body of Tojo appears dog-like, though no front legs. Wonderful, smiling expression on soldier's face. Back of base reads "E.R. Lapp" and base has "C. LE" incised signature. Old neck repair appears to have gold glitter covering it. Several scattered scuffs to paint and age dust. VG. Rare and only the second example we've seen in our 46 years. An equally rare sailor variety of this statue was produced, though we have never been able to offer it.
