Item Description
13/16" brass shell frame with suspension hole as made. Listed as Sullivan AL1860-103. Obverse depicts bright and sharp focus portrait with "A. Lincoln" above. Brass background contains 32 stars and text along the left and right sides of the opening reads "Pat. Apr. 2. 1861." Reverse is identical except for ferrotype image of "Johnson." An outstanding example with crystal clear portraits and near 100% brilliant brass luster. Our last example of this quality exceeded $2500. Extremely rare in this high grade NM condition.
