Item Description
c.1937. 5x8.5x10" tall overall glass jar with tin litho lid with image of Mr. Peanut has name in relief on front. Planters text on front and silk-screened “Planters Peanuts” text on back. Jar contains 6x7.5" embossed die-cut loose label meant to be applied inside. Label has art image of perspiring youngster holding Jumbo Block and word ballon w/text "Gee But It's Nice And Crisp." Label has text at top “The Only Peanut Bar For Summer” w/5¢. Lid has lt. handling wear. Fine. Label has great graphics but is heavily worn with a few pieces missing. Only VG. Jar rim is free of chips and is VF.
