Item Description
From same high quality series as item #2237-2238. 13" tall w/bone china figurine atop wood base. Issued by Another Rainbow through Connoisseur of Malvern and released in conjunction with Donald Duck's 60th birthday in 1994. Front of base has birthday cake porcelain plaque. Donald is depicted enthusiastically waving and carrying hometown "Duckburg" pennant. Front of "Mound" he stands on has gold Barks signature applied just before the final firing. Based on 1975 Carl Barks painting "Hi-I'm Donald Duck!" Number 75 of a limited edition of 100 produced, but of these 100, only 44 remain, 56 having been destroyed in an arranged agreement between Another Rainbow and The Walt Disney Company. Disney oversaw the destruction of these items. Does not come in original box but Mint as issued with exception of some tiny oxidation dots on the metal pennant rod, only noticeable upon close inspection. Comes with 15x17.75" framed and double-matted lithograph of original 1975 Carl Barks painting. Hand-numbered, titled and signed by Barks. This is 71/100 (Not 75/100 like the figurine). Also included is "Carl Barks And The Disney Ducks" book published by Another Rainbow which has matching edition number of 71/100. Print does come w/original box and also Mint as issued.
