Item Description
Marx produced a number of different Davy/Alamo playsets, this is #3539 c. 1955. Scattered box wear mostly along edges w/1" puncture on top edge. Still tight, clean and VF. Figures include Davy, 10 Mexicans in blue and 16 pioneers in silver (should be 20 for this set but we believe a factory oversight). Also, set comes w/a 3-barreled space-type cannon and sprue of shells rather than the standard cannon and this is a documented factory substitute done in select sets. All else is complete as it should be and set is unused. Original bags remain (although w/typical wear) as does the cardboard insert divider. Tin litho building never assembled. Parts are Exc. to Mint. Three papers are included as issued: Instruction sheet (lightly aged w/handling wear) Fine, 8x10" photo of Fess Parker as Davy and Davy/Alamo story folder, both VF/Exc.
