Made in 1954 by Universal. Classic lunch box features Superman fighting giant robot on front panel and classic Superman images of him rescuing a plane and Lois Lane as well as breaking through chains. Band of lunch box has yellow toned images of Superman and Superman title. Left hand band side has slot for name and has text “Superman’s friend is ...” Indent on front panel at top left. Obvious rim wear. Some scratches and wear to front/back panels but nothing very distracting. Very little wear to the band. Trace of wear/aging to interior. Overall still a VG example of one of the most desirable character based lunchboxes.
