Item Description
1-3/8" litho with union bugs on curl but no maker's name. Paint has minimal tiny scratches mostly on red background and a little around the extreme edge. Still displays glossy and VF. The doll was the idea of Lincoln, Nebraska resident Violet Lee Gradwohl and her artistic niece Maxine Runci with the first dolls produced in 1946. The text on this button "Friendship Club" references a color catalog, there was also Fashion Parade and Monthly Magazine, intended to promote sales and communication between children and the company. First example we've seen in five decades.
