©1987 Tyco Industries, Inc. The Dino-Riders toy line involved combining complex futuristic weapons and armor with prehistoric dinosaurs. Listed as authentic 1/24 scale. Each dinosaur was accompanied with a 2.75" figure or figures depending on the size. The bigger pieces such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Diplodocus and Brontosaurus, each came with three figures and the smaller and medium dinosaurs each came with one or two figures. Most boxes had a flap that could be lifted up to see the actual toy and the underside of the flap showed the contents in photos. The outside of the flap contained a fully painted battle scene involving the dinosaur. The reverse side of the boxes featured art of a battle scene containing many of the dinosaurs within the series. Each also contains a mini-comic book. First item is a 2.5x5.5x9" box with front flap. The Ankylosaurus is one of the smallest pieces in the Series 1 line. It has a one-piece attachment that serves as both a brain box and a harness for a giant crossbow and comes with Evil Sting figure. Sealed box is Exc. Figure Mint as issued. Next is a 2.5x5.5x9" box with front flap. The Pterodactyl is another small piece in the Series 1 line. It has a hang glider frame with rockets and comes with Hero Llahd figure. Sealed box is Exc. Figure Mint as issued. Last item in lot is a 2.5x6x10" box with front flap. The Struthiomimus is another small piece from the Series 2 line. It has a message pod and laser cannon and comes with Hero Nimbus figure. Sealed box is Exc. Figure Mint as issued. A nice start to a Dino Riders collection or as additions to complete your collection.
