Item Description
2.25" with metal back and bar pin plus name of maker on curl Philadelphia Badge Co. Button is designed as a baseball and full text reads top to bottom "Baseball's Colored Classic/Sunday July 27 Comiskey Park/East vs West." Cello has a few very faint and widely scattered tiny age marks but still displays VF with full gloss. Silver luster is mostly off the reverse. Between 1933 and 1950 Comiskey Park hosted Negro League East-West All Star games. This particular button was for a 1941 game featuring pitchers McDuffie vs Hilton Smith which the East won over the West 8-3. Only example known to us. Comes with Hake's COA.
