Item Description
Buttons on the first seven measure 1.75" and the suspended ribbons are about 6". The eighth button is a 1.25" and is affixed to a 10.5" ribbon. The first five items picture a gentleman and the ribbons in five different colors were awarded at the "Great Hagerstown Fair Oct 14-17, 1913." These ribbons represent the "First Premium" consecutively through the "Fifth Premium." The next two items are for a 1915-16 event in Slatington, Pennsylvania. These are titled "3rd Annual Show/Blue Ridge Poultry Fanciers' Asso." Each of these has a paper sticker applied with the number "775" on the front. The buttons are for the "Third" prize and "Fourth" prize. The first has just a few noticeable pinpoints of age while the second has quite a few tiny age dots but they are not dark. These two items were made by Schlecther of Allentown whereas the previous five have back papers by Torsch & Franz of Baltimore. The last item has ribbon designating "Third Prize" for Hagerstown Fair in 1911. This button also has a Torsch & Franz back paper. Other than the small bit of staining on two buttons a beautiful clean group very close to Mint condition.
