Item Description
1940s. Tin litho wind-up toy consists of 24” long folding arm which attaches to 8” tall lighthouse style tower on 6x10" base. 7" long wind-up airplane with built-in key and 9" long “Sky Rangers Dirigible” are attached to the 2 arms. By winding plane tightly and releasing, it travels along the ground at first and then actually takes off and flies in a circle parallel to the dirigible. The 4 toy components have nice graphics including detailed interior views of pilot at helm of dirigible, Navy men operating other machinery. Plane has exhaust coming from jets and die-cut pilot. Has built-in key and working. All pieces have scattered tiny paint nicks. Overall Fine.
