8.5x10-7/8" square bound with stiff paper covers and 74 multi-colored pages. First printing published by San Francisco Comic Book Company 1970. Front cover art by Rick Griffin has man consumed by guilt begging God for help surrounded by pornography, brass knuckles, pistol, with devil-type nearby saying "Emanuel!" with cloaked figure in doorway holding cat of nine tails in right hand and spear in left hand with image of Jesus. Contents include a cross section of art by underground and mainstream comic book artists including more art by Griffin, Robert Crumb, Steve Ditko, Al Williamson, Reed Crandall, Moscoso, Shelton, Metzger, S. Clay Wilson, Deitch, Irons, Spain, Robbins & more. Cellophane tape applied to spine as issued has yellowed with age and back cover w/Jaxon art is lightly tanned. Overall covers Fine, contents VF. A classic publication with extremely limited distribution. `
