3-5/8x6.5" first day of issue embossed envelope for "1869-1969 Professional Baseball" stamp postmarked Cincinnati Sept. 24, 1969 has bold ballpoint pen signature near bottom of front. NM. George Sisler (1893-1973) played professional baseball for 15 seasons and from 1920 to 2004 he held the Major League Baseball record for most hits in a single season. Sisler was a Hall of Fame inductee at the very first induction ceremony in 1939 in Cooperstown, NY. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
