Item Description
Each of these is a 1.25" litho tin disc open on the reverse. Originally these were issued in sets of two discs which fit together with a #1 on one disc and a #2 on the slightly smaller disc which served to make a compartment to hold the candy. There are at least 43 players in this 1930s series. This group consists of "1/Charley Gehringer/Detroit Tigers." 1/16" rub by his ear at right barely shows and left edge has similar 1/16" mark plus a couple at bottom showing just a trifle. Second is "1/Lew Fonseca Chi. White Sox." This has .25" scratch at bottom right. Last is "2-'Sunny Jim' Bottomley Cincinnati Reds." Slightest trace of a .25" hairline dent just catching reflected light. Paint remains Exc. Group of three.
