Item Description
28.75x37.5" cloth with felt text and graphics has superb design with large scorpion at bottom and snarling lion in cage. Cage area has 1" tear at right and fabric has a few lt. color rubs but Fine overall and a great display piece. The Scorpions were one of the oldest and most distinguished teams in the old Cuban League which existed from 1878 to 1961. In their early history they were known by their colors as the Blues. Later they adopted the name of Scorpions. Throughout their history they had a famous rivalry with the Havana Lions. In the 71 championships in which they participated they won 25 times. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
