Item Description
All are c. late 1940s. Everything is printed on high quality slick paper. Includes six folders ranging in size from 5.25x8" to 7x10.25". Each is for individual train running a specific route. Names include: The General (two different), Spirit of St. Louis, Liberty Limited, Broadway Limited, and The Trail Blazer. Folders promote new cars, compartment configurations, lounge and dining cars, etc. Folders have a few lt. handling creases. VF/Exc. Remaining 18 items are full color magazine proofs just printed on front side. Includes ten sheets ranging in size from 11.75x15" to 12.75x16". Each is designed for single page. Next nine proofs are 16x23.75" designed for double page ad. One has art by noted pulp artist Jerome Rozen showing engineer, conductor, and other railroad employees. Other topics include food industry, train comfort, changes over 100 years of operation, and routes. Single page proofs have one horizontal fold through center as issued and double page proofs have one horizontal and one vertical fold through center as issued. Proofs overall VF/Exc.
