Item Description
5.5x8" mailing envelope has light general wear and the end flap was neatly trimmed off. The Ralston club manual it contains is 5x7" with 16 pages. This group is from the Joe Gura Premium Collection with his name on the address label of the envelope and he neatly signed in ink his name, address, and club registration number of 24918. The manual is in N. Mint condition filled with great illustrations and club information plus a back cover full page ad for the radio program. The stiff card used to order the "Captain's Medal" premium is still here. The decoder badge is also included. This is 2-1/8" tall in gorgeous brass luster with a silver luster six gun mounted on the front. Barrel has lost its silver luster and a hairline of brass luster is off the right edge of the badge but the front of the piece still displays Extremely Fine. Reverse has slight luster loss. The idea was to turn the barrel of the gun to point at one of the various symbols on the front of the piece such as a skull or horseshoe and then on the back of the piece a brass arrow points to the equivalent code word such as "Guilty" or "Danger Ahead" etc. A page within the manual gives complete instructions on the use of this badge in conjunction with "Secret Radio Messages." Rarely found complete as issued.
