Nicely designed hard plastic guitar is 3x11x31" long and comes in the original cardboard box w/hard plastic carrying handle. © 1956 Elvis Presley Enterprises. Inside of box lid features great design including classic full figure image of Elvis singing and playing guitar. Box is complete w/separate cardboard insert that holds the "Cord Selector" unit in place. On the front of the box is a cardboard tab that the handle fits over to securely shut the box. At the bottom of this tab are a pair of 2" splits. Outside of box has additional small scattered trace of edge wear, 1" split at one corner o/w corners remain tight. There are a few tiny spots of missing surface paper on inside of lid due to insects although not affecting the Elvis image. This image does have some tiny surface paper rubs on his lower body but these are very minor. Box remains VF. Emenee produced this guitar in both four and six string versions. This is the four string variety. Body of guitar has a pair of 3.5x6.25" decals. One has Elvis photo and facsimile signature and the other has text "You Ain't Nothin' But A Hound Dog/Love Me Tender" plus images of hound dog and a heart. The top of the neck reads "Emenee Official Elvis Presley Guitar." Complete w/all four tuning keys, four strings and has the original shoulder strap cord. Back body of guitar is dark purple marbled design. Just above the bridge is a 1" hairline but this is only noticeable upon close inspection o/w guitar remains in choice, Exc. condition. Comes w/2x6x1.5" deep hard plastic cord selector which attaches to the neck and is N. Mint. Also comes w/5x6" song book and 2.5x3.5" Emenee Musical Toys catalogue. Song book is blw w/16 pages, all in bw and includes photo of Elvis on the cover w/text "Including Elvis Presley Song Hits." Elvis song included is Love Me Tender, other songs are traditional. Trace of tanning to cover and several inside pages, small trace of insect damage, mostly along extreme page edges. Still complete, intact and rarely found still w/guitar. VG. The catalogue is also blw on glossy paper w/16 pages. While the Elvis guitar is not included, celebrity products do include Pinky Lee xylophone, Gene Autry guitar, Arthur Godfrey ukulele plus a Mickey Mouse Rhythm Band set. Exc.
